Recently we heard the sad news about Bed Bath & Beyond closing stores across the nation and our in Texarkana will be one of those closings. This weekend we discovered Tuesday Morning will close over 250 stores soon. Is Texarkana's location on the list?

Tuesday Morning has had a tough few years. Back in 2020, they announced they were closing over 200 stores nationwide. Our store in Texarkana was spared, but on February 14, Tuesday Morning filed Chapter 11 and announced they were closing more stores in 2023 over 250 stores will close.

Tuesday Morning has been around since the 1970s. It has always been a great store to find discounted prices on home furnishings, decor, appliances and more.

There are 2 stores in Arkansas that are closing, 2 in Louisiana and 2 in Oklahoma but there are 24 stores that will be closing in Texas.

All the stores that are closing are already beginning to have liquidation sales starting at 10% and will continue to increase over the next few weeks and months.

Luckily for now...Texarkana's Tuesday Morning location is safe. Let's hope the company can recover and we won't have to worry about any more closures for a long time to come. You can see the entire list of stores closing here.

Ever wonder where Tuesday Morning got its name?  According to their website;

In 1974, Tuesday Morning founder Lloyd Ross was working with big-name manufacturers when he had an idea. These big brands always had leftover inventory and nothing to do with it. So Lloyd bought their excess merchandise and decided to host the world’s greatest garage sale in a warehouse in Dallas on a Tuesday morning. Why then? Because he believed it was the first positive part of the week.
