"Some" insulation, when extreme cold is approaching, is better than "no" insulation. That's what the experts are saying when it comes to protecting the outside wall spigots on your home or business. You can always double up and use two. I'm sure Whataburger or one of the other fast food places, or EZ Mart, Walmarts, etc. that have really big styrofoam cups wouldn't mind selling you a few drinks to make your McGyver hack work and get you through the cold snap that is about to hit us.

All you need is one or two cups per faucet, a rubber band, and a stick or pencil, or nail, a large washer, something that will hold the rubber band to the outside of the cups.
