You still have time to sign up for the dog obedience training. The classes begin this Saturday. All breeds are accepted.

Are you having problems getting your pooch to cooperate with your rules? Maybe it is the manner in which you giving the commands. Your dog may not understand what it is that you want him to do or, maybe he knows if he plays hard to get, you will give up. Whatever the reason, you just know that it isn't working out the way you want and you may be ready to throw in the towel. Have you recently daydreamed about dropping Fido off at the animal shelter or giving him away to 'a family that lives in the country' so he can run all he wants. Neither of those options are the answer to your problem. Training is the answer to your dilemma.

Don't give up on your dog! Get training for both of you and bring back that happiness you had when you first got that adorable puppy that has grown into a barking, shoe-chewing menace to your backyard.

The Kennel Club of Texarkana is sponsoring this All Breed Obedience Training course to be held on Saturdays from April 11 to May 16. There is a class for puppies as well as adults. Your dog is never too old to learn. Classes are limited and the fee for the course is $60. You will need to have your dog's vaccinations up to date and proof from your veterinarian of the current status. Puppy classes begin at 10 a.m. and adult classes begin at 11 a.m. Please come early so all paper work can be taken care of prior to the beginning of the class. The obedience training courses will be held at Crown Center, 6500 Summerhill Road in Texarkana.
