Texarkana Sneak Peek: The Eagle Bourbon and Wine Lounge Is Almost Here!
It's been a long time coming, but the Eagle has landed! The Eagle Bourbon and Wine Lounge will be opening soon in downtown Texarkana at 116 East Broad Street in the former historic Dr. Pepper building in the entertainment district.
The Eagle Bourbon and Wine Lounge
The Texarkana Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony was recently held to show off the new building to local dignitaries, their families, and the community.
The Eagle Bourbon and Wine Lounge will offer its guests an upscale lounge experience like no other, with a wide selection of bourbon, craft beer, domestic, and imported wine. And that's not all, what would wine be without a little cheese? The Charcuterie Board offers a curated selection of cured meats, artisan cheeses, and gourmet items that make for a great pairing.
The Eagle Has Landed - Tasty Bites
The Eagle offers a small but tasty menu of incredible bites like hamburger sliders, bacon-wrapped chicken bites, chicken salad croissant sandwiches, and double fudge brownies, to name a few.
You're going to love their variety of cocktails named after historical buildings in downtown Texarkana, like the Grim, classic "Godfather," described on their website as a sweet, nutty drink that combines the spiced notes of Scotch with the almond flavor of Amaretto.

Meet The Owners - The Fullers
The owners, Chris and Mellissa Fuller, are planning on bringing a great selection of wine and craft beer that you can't typically find in the area. Chris is from Cincinnati, Ohio, and moved here a few years ago while his wife, Melliss, grew up in the Texarkana-Ashdown area.
Story Behind the Name: The Eagle Bourbon and Wine Lounge Honors Legacy
According to the Fullers, the name "The Eagle" was chosen to honor both their fathers, who passed away, for their love of golf and a good drink after a day out on the course. The word, Eagle is a golf term that means completing an individual hole at two under par.
Eagle Bourbon and Wine Lounge offers a cozy and relaxed setting with couches or barstools where folks can socialize after a hard day at work or just come to lounge and have a few drinks. During the winter months, patrons can enjoy the huge fireplace, the focal point of the new establishment. Oh, did I mention they have a golf simulator room near the rear of the building and 4 loft apartments on the second floor?
One of the things that sets this apart from other lounges is that they have an exclusive Whiskey Locker, where guests who buy their wines or liquor at the Eagle can use it to store their personal beverages under lock and key for future visits, with a nice touch, an engraved name plate.
Work in Progress
The Fullers also love bringing people together, so be sure and ask about reserving the lounge for private meetings, events, parties, or gatherings. This building is just a part of the growth and revitalization of the historic downtown area, and I have a feeling the Fullers are proud to be a part of it. Work is still in progress, but if all goes well, they will be open to the public within the next couple of weeks.
Mix and Mingle - First Big Event
Join the fun on Tuesday, July 29, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. for "Mix and Mingle" at The Eagle Bourbon & Wine Lounge, their first event hosted at this brand-new downtown venue.
