East Texas Food Bank Named Chick-fil-A Grant Finalist

The East Texas Food Bank has been named a finalist in the Southwest region for Chick-fil-A's True Inspiration Award, giving the nonprofit a chance to receive grant funding to support its mission to fight hunger across East Texas.

Vote Could Bring Major Funding

You can help them win this award. All you need to do is cast your vote throughout September. Grant awards range from $30,000 to $200,000 and would help the food bank continue serving families across the 26 counties it supports.

Tim Butler, ETFB Chief Development Officer, said in a press release,

We are so excited that the ETFB was nominated for this award and we hope all of East Texas will vote for us this month. The grants range between $30,000-$200,000 so it would be amazing if we were able to win one of these grants to help with our mission of fighting hunger and feeding hope in the 26 counties we serve in East Texas. Every donated dollar helps us serve five meals to our neighbors in need.

How to Cast Your Vote

To vote, all you need to do is download the Chick-fil-A app, select the "For You" section, click "Vote Now," choose the Southwest region and vote for the East Texas Food Bank. Voting is open through September 30. The winners are scheduled to be announced in 2027. Only one vote is allowed per Chick-fil-A app account.

The True Inspiration Awards program was created in 2015 to honor Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy. Since its launch, the program has awarded more than $40 million to nonprofit organizations around the world.
