Halloween may be over but I have to tell you about the mysterious face on the side of a building in Galveston, Texas. The eerie face first appeared in 2002, when some paranormal investigators went to the site to investigate but were escorted off the property by police.

The University of Texas Medical Building, Ewing Hall sits behind a barbed wire fence and warning signs that read, "No Trespassing," where the face appeared decades ago and is hidden from public view.

That portion of the building has been sandblasted various times but every time it's done, days later it reappears again. It's even been known to move to a different panel on the building and university officials claim there is no face. Could this be something that is called Face Pareidolia, where people see what they want to see when looking at an object such as a face?

Nevertheless, a local library in Galveston has no record of the face or the land it once belonged to, however, legend has it that a man once owned the property and it was sold out from under him leading many to believe this is the man's revenge. Others, who have visited there such as a psychic believe that a crime may have been committed there by a child killer and the face on the building is of the man the victim last saw before they were killed. I do see a face that looks evil and that it looks to have horns like the devil.

Records do show that in the late 1920s or 30s that a landfill once was on the property with a public pier and that in 1992, a woman who wanted to get a glimpse of the face drowned in her car near a dock that was there.

There is no word today on whether the image is still there and if it's just an old wise tail or an Urban Legend in one of America's Most Haunted Towns in America. After all, one of the deadliest hurricanes devasted the island in 1900 known as The Great Storm which claimed 8,000 lives. Perhaps, this is a ghostly face from the past.
