
Texarkana ISD Honors Six Student-Athletes on Fall Signing Day
Texarkana ISD celebrated six standout student-athletes during its Fall Signing Day on Wednesday, December 3, marking a major milestone for seniors moving on to compete at the collegiate level.
Family, friends, coaches, and teammates filled the room as athletes representing football, softball, baseball, and track and field signed official letters of intent. Texarkana ISD leaders said the moment reflects years of commitment both in the classroom and in competition.
Six Texas High Tigers Commit to Next-Level Programs
The athletes signing this fall include:
- Justin Arnold Jr. (Track & Field) – Henderson State University
- Tardarian Ball (Football) – University of Oregon
- Damien Chisum (Football) – Southern Arkansas University
- Preslie Clopp (Softball) – Texas A&M–Texarkana
- Duncan McGhee (Football) – Texas Christian University
- Kameron Wrightener (Baseball) – Texas A&M–Texarkana
A Moment Years in the Making
TISD Athletic Director Gerry Stanford said the day reflects the athletes’ long-term commitment and leadership.
“We are proud of these six athletes, not just for their college commitments, but for the standard they’ve set in our program,” he said.
The ceremony included emotional moments as families gathered to celebrate achievements built on discipline, perseverance, and hard work. District officials said the signings highlight TISD’s ongoing commitment to supporting student-athletes academically and athletically.
