Four States Fair Opens: Safety First with Zero-Tolerance Policy

The 80th Annual Four States Fair and Rodeo in Texarkana begins today April 4, and runs through Sunday, April 13, 2025.

The fair has always been fun for family and friends to gather. The Texarkana Arkansas Police and the Four States Fair have released information and safety measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable time at this year's fair.

2025Four States Fair Safety and Rules

The TAPD will increase security during the fair and a zero-tolerance policy this year. Any person or unsupervised teen groups caught causing problems or disruptions inside or outside the fairgrounds will removed from the premises immediately.

• All persons entering the fair will be scanned purses and bags.
• No large purses or bags will be allowed.
• No weapons guns, knives, or pepper spray allowed violators will be arrested.
• Dress accordingly, full-coverage shirts and pants, and no sagging pants or visible underwear showing will be allowed into the fairgrounds.
• Be advised that anyone 15 years or younger is not allowed unless accompanied by parents or an adult. Bans from Fairgrounds are indefinite, and trespassers will face citations or arrests.
• Lock vehicles in the parking lot, secure valuables in the trunk, and don't leave purses or bags in plain view.

Officers have enforced a city curfew for children under 18, at 11 PM Sunday through Thursday and midnight on Friday and Saturday. After curfew hours, juveniles must be with a parent or guardian on fairgrounds property. Unsupervised juveniles may receive curfew violation tickets.

It's best to arrive at the fair early and park near the rodeo arena or in lighted parking areas that are being patrolled by security.
