It's the season for spooky fun for kids of all ages. The City of Texarkana Texas and the Texarkana Texas Parks and Recreation Department have a lot of fun things planned throughout the rest of October.

The season has been extended! The Fall Market is every this month from 4 PM to 7 PM at Spring Lake Park. Those interested in becoming a vendor can email the market directly at farmersmarket@txkusa.org.

Fall Movies In The Park at Spring Lake Park

This is a free event with movies starting at dusk. There will be concessions available for purchase. All moviegoers are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

Cycle Through History Bike Tours - Friday October 11

Ready for a little learning and exercise? Don't miss this bike tours where you will ride through Historic Downtown Texarkana. Friday evening's tour will be of the public art on display. The tour starts at 5:30 PM at the Texarkana, Texas City Hall parking lot at 220 Texas Blvd. You can register online here.

Annual Fall Festival at Spring Lake Park - Thursday, October 17

The festival starts at 4:30 PM with the movie starting at dusk. There will be bounce houses, and costume contests (several age ranges). Plus a pet costume contest, face painting, hayrides, and more.

Annual Trick or Treat at Spring Lake Park - Thursday October 31

This free event will be from 5 PM until 8 PM across from the Rotary Splash Pad. This fun-filled event is perfect for the whole family. Kids can trick-or-treat from decorated car trunks.
