Do you believe in ghosts?  Well, then get ready for 'The First Annual East Texas Ghost Conference' in Marshall, Texas on Saturday, Aug. 18. This will also be the last public appearance for Everyday Paranormal founders Brad and Barry Klinge of San Antonio.

The Klinges, whose explorations of paranormal phenomena were the subject of a Discovery Channel documentary series “Ghost Lab,” recently announced that they are departing the paranormal world and that their appearance at the East Texas Ghost Conference Marshall will be their last.

Brad Klinge said in an Aug. 7 posting on ghosttvblogs.com that he and Barry were stepping down from the daily operation of Everyday Paranormal “to return to their lives and concentrate on other endeavors.”

The Klinges are just one of many experts in the field of paranormal phenomena scheduled to appear during the first ever ghost conference to be held in East Texas.

Clairvoyant medium and psychic paranormal investigator Dakota Lawrence, of Shreveport La. who has appeared on “Children of the Grave II” on SyFy/Spooked TV, will host a special gallery reading.

Other speakers include Larry Flaxman, best-selling author of several books on paranormal subjects; Mitchel Whitington of Jefferson, author and lecturer on the paranormal; and paranormal investigators and founders of paranormal organizations in Louisiana and Texas.

While the paranormal investigation events are sold out, $20 general admission tickets to the all day conference, which includes exhibits and speakers will be available at door. Tickets to the Historic/Ghost Walk of downtown Marshall along with the Friday and Saturday nighttime cemetery tour are still available.

Events begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 at the Marshall Visual Arts Center, 208 E. Burleson St.
