Preply, a platform for language classes and courses conducted a study to see what the top nicknames are in each state. They asked tons of couples across the country what their sweet and maybe a little private pet name was for their sweetheart.

The study found that the states most likely to give their significant other a pet nickname were New York, Virginia, and Nevada.

The states less likely to have a special nickname for their partner was Minnesota, Colorado, and Massachusetts.

The Three Top Nicknames in The Country

1. Babe

2. Love

3. Honey

The study also found that 69% of the people surveyed feel that having a special nickname for each other is healthy for their relationship.

In Texas the top nickname is Boo.

Some Unique Nicknames Came Out of the Study Too

Some of the most unique nicknames? How about Mr. Man in North Carolina or Chomp in Maryland, in Mississippi it's Piglet and Scoobert? Hmmm, well who is to judge? The fact of the matter is nicknames between couples is sweet.
