Hot List: Top 10 Vehicles Likely to Be Stolen in Texas

The weather in Texas is not the only thing that is hot, car thieves are locking in on some of the hottest vehicles likely to be stolen in the Lone Star state.

The National Insurance Crime Bureau via the insurance app Way recently released its "Most Wanted" hot list of vehicles that thieves are most likely to steal if you live in Texas.

Most vehicles that are stolen happen because of carelessness as leaving your keys in the ignition, unlocked doors, or lack of security systems and safety measures in a vehicle. Many of the older vehicles that lack some of these features are more likely to get stolen than newer models.

According to the police, many cars are stolen to take to Mexico to sell or commit other crimes, and because these types of vehicles are most stolen, some major insurance companies refuse to insure them and if they do the rates are a lot higher.
