Hot Springs to Light Up the Sky for Labor Day Weekend Fireworks Show
It's hard to believe that summer is coming to an end. School has started, football season is here, and fall is right around the corner. What better way to send off summer than with a 3-day holiday weekend?
Free Labor Day Weekend Fireworks Show - Hot Springs, Arkansas
The Labor Day weekend is upon us. Many people, including myself, will be heading to the lakes one more time for some late-summer fun. If you are heading to Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, Arkansas, start making plans to see their annual free Labor Day weekend fireworks show on Sunday. August 31, at 9 PM. You can watch the show by boat, which is my favorite, or from the shoreline off Highway 7. The fireworks will be launched from barges in the middle of the lake around dusk on the east side of the lake and near the first Highway 7 bridge across from the Double Tree Inn.
No matter where you plan on watching the fireworks, please maintain a safe distance from the launch area and be on the lookout for other boaters in the area. If it rains, the fireworks will be rescheduled to Monday, September 1.

Make sure to tune your radio to 97.5 - US 97, Hot Springs' country station, as the music will be synced with the fireworks show. This is always an entertaining show you don't want to miss!
Why Do Americans Celebrate Labor Day?
After all, Labor Day is a holiday designated for the American worker. The official commemoration of its workers' contributions to national strength, prosperity, and well-being. In other words, an excuse to party and drink for three days with friends and family. Labor Day became an official holiday in 1894 after labor unions fought for fair labor practices.
So, party on! Happy Labor Day!
