The action figure world has no shortage of Spider-Man toys, as the webslinger has been on shelves continually since the Mego era in the ’70s. However, not all Spider-toys are created equal. For every figure you wouldn't mind your kid taking into the bath or on a play date, there is an opposing iteration that you’d rather keep secured in a windowed display case that children under the age of eight would have a hard time opening. That former category are the kind of Spider-Man figures these new Hot Toys pieces fall under.

Hot Toys has been leading the pack in premium Spider-Man figures since the Tobey Maguire days of the Sony film franchise. Though the quality of film adaptations may have drifted over the past decade, the same cannot be said for Hot Toys' efforts. Now that the Hong Kong company is turning its eye towards the Tom Holland-starring reboot, we're as excited as ever to get our hands on one of Hot Toys’ products.

Since exploding onto the scene in Captain America: Civil War, the newest Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been even more of a fan-favorite character. With his suit crafted by Tony Stark and a playful attitude as portrayed by Tom Holland, there’s little reason to wonder why this incarnation of Spider-Man has so quickly surpassed those that came before in fans’ eyes. Hot Toys has seemingly captured every last little detail of the new Spider-Man: Homecoming costume, right down to the expressive eyes, of which the figure includes four different versions for posing.

Two different versions of the Hot Toys Spider-Man are being offered, with a standard figure coming with a masked head, those eyes, nearly a dozen different hands, some magnetic web wings and a Tom Holland likeness (which has yet to be officially sanctioned). You’ll also get some different webbing accessories, along with a backpack, headphones, and a Spider-signal to make your display even more spectacular.

The deluxe edition includes all of those goodies, but also includes a hoodie and school blazer (from that great poster), as well as the Vulture’s helmet. The deluxe edition is about $20 more expensive, which makes sense given the extra clothing options, but I’m not entirely sure they make enough of a difference over the standard figure to convince most Spider-stans to cough up that extra dough. Most of us will likely be posing Spidey in an amazing stance that shows off the costume rather than a bright yellow blazer.

You can check out more pictures below, and over on the pre-order pages to decide which version is right for you. The standard Hot Toys Spider-Man: Homecoming Spider-Man figure is available for pre-order for $229.99 from Sideshow Collectibles. The deluxe edition is also available for pre-order from Sideshow Collectibles now for $251.99. Both are due out in Q3 2018.
