
Two Lexa, AR Residents Arrested in Ongoing Child Exploitation Investigation
Two residents of Lexa, Arkansas, have been arrested following an investigation into the alleged sexual abuse and exploitation of a juvenile female, according to the Arkansas State Police (ASP).
The Two Adults Being Charged Are:
Joshua Williams, 31, and Katelyn Williams, 30, were taken into custody on Monday, July 28, 2025, by Special Agents with the ASP Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. The arrests were made with the assistance of the Helena-West Helena Police Department and the Phillips County Sheriff’s Office.
Facing Multiple Sexual Abuse Charges:
The pair face multiple felony charges, including rape, engaging children in sexually explicit conduct for use in a visual or print medium, permitting abuse of a minor, computer exploitation of a child, and sexually grooming a child.
ASP officials say the investigation began in March after receiving a report of suspected abuse involving a juvenile female. As the investigation progressed, ICAC Special Agents were able to identify Joshua and Katelyn Williams as suspects. Both were located at a hotel in West Helena, where they were arrested.
Joshua Williams was transported to the St. Francis County Detention Center, and Katelyn Williams was booked into the Phillips County Detention Center. Bond for each suspect has been set at $1 million.
All accused of a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The investigation remains ongoing.
