It’s That Time of Year Again — Farmers Market Time

It's time to shop local, Texarkana. Have you checked out these great farmers markets?

This time of year is a wonderful time when we forego the everyday grocery stores, instead opting for the open air markets. It's farmers market time! This is, by far, one of my favorite things to do. Heck, I even check out farmers markets in various towns that I'm visiting. You really get a great taste of the town's character at the farmers market.

And we've got two great ones in our own backyard that are open for business.

It doesn't matter which side of the state line you live on, you got a great chance to shop local. We have the Texarkana Farmers' Market located at 305 Texas Blvd. Or check out the Gateway Farmers Market on the corner of Jefferson Ave and E. 9th. Both feature vendors selling anything from locally grown produce and goods, clothing and accessories, and more.

It's just better when it's local, right?
