It's Holiday Season-Texarkana Salvation Army Red Kettles Are Here

You know it's officially the holiday season when you start to the iconic Salvation Army Red Kettles popping up all over town.

This year is especially tough as inflation is out of control people need help more than ever. It's time to help our neighbors.

The Salvation Army is always there for people in need. The donations given during the Red Kettle Campaign helps provide funds for the Salvation Army to Love Beyond Christmas.

Look for the Red Kettles outside Texarkana and surrounding area stores and businesses, Monday through Saturday, beginning now until Christmas Eve.

This year the Salvation Army is making it even easier to make a donation.

Captain Juan Gomez, the Commanding Officer of The Salvation Army in Texarkana stated in a press release;

“With fewer and fewer people carrying cash, we’re also offering several cashless ways to donate. Donors can give on their smartphone, using Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Venmo right there at the red kettle.”

The Salvation Army's campaign this year is called "Love Beyond Christmas” stating in a press release;

that when we love beyond late bills, love beyond shelter, and love beyond Christmas, we can provide hope and help for millions who need it. Love Beyond is also a symbol of the resources and programs that so many people rely on year-round when they turn to The Salvation Army for assistance.
