Puttopia Mini-Golf and Restaurant in Hudson Opens Oct 22, Here’s a Sneak Peek
I travel on Highway 94 from Hudson to Lufkin every day. So, I've been paying close attention to the progress of the construction of Puttopia in front of Hijinx Trampoline Park. First, it was the dirt work, followed by the pouring of the concrete, lots of it. Then, the greens, the landscaping, and the fountains were installed. The most eye-catching feature was the stone walk-through structure that featured a waterfall coming from its roof. Lastly, the final touches of the adjoining restaurant were put in place.
We Have An Opening Date
Puttopia, located at 161 Jump Street in Lufkin, will be opening to the public on Thursday, October 22. This mini-golf course features 18 challenging holes with undulations, boulders, streams, and fountains. There is also a pro shop/restaurant that features pizza, wings, burgers, and more. You can eat inside or outside in the expansive, gated patio area. QR menu codes at the picnic benches make ordering easy.
I Got To Walk All 18 Holes
I had the chance to meet Craig Lawson, Puttopia's owner, at the venue, and he gave me a tour of the course. I was very impressed with the beautiful layout and the challenging nature of the greens and obstacles. I was also amazed at the creativity. Playing under a waterfall is a unique experience, and the water hazard on hole #12 features a twist I've never seen. The video features a walk-through of all 18 holes.
