15 High Profile Texas Fugitives Are Now Off The Streets

Since the start of June, a total of 15 fugitives who were featured on the Texas Department of Public Safety's Most Wanted Lists have been captured. 12 of those apprehensions took place within the state boundaries, while one arrest happened in Arkansas, another in Oklahoma, and one fugitive was rounded up in Mexico.

The Texas Department of Public Safety's Texas 10 Most Wanted Lists

The Texas DPS, in partnership with the Office of the Governor and the Texas Crime Stoppers program, identifies select fugitives and wanted sex offenders who pose the most significant threat to public safety in the state. Authorities then place these suspects into appropriate Texas 10 Most Wanted Lists. Those lists include the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives, Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders, and the Texas 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants.

Individuals who provide information leading to the arrest of one of these fugitives or sex offenders can earn a cash reward in the amount designated for each person. Those rewards are usually between $3,000 and $7,500; however, they can go higher. For example, Reynaldo Mata-Rios, who is wanted for murder, has a reward of $30,000. Law enforcement believes that Mata-Rios may have crossed into Mexico in December 2025.
