A Texas Motorcyclist was killed in a weekend accident in Louisiana. State Police say Westley Dossey of Texarkana died when the rear tire of his bike dislodged and he hit a retaining wall. His passenger, Ailene Dossey was treated for what authorities say was moderate injuries.

Interstate 40 in Arkansas between Little Rock and Memphis remains closed at the White River due to flooding. State Highway Officials say it may be Wednesday at the earliest before the interstate will be re-opened. Meanwhile lengthy detours both east and west bound will continue east of Little Rock.

U.S. Safety Regulators are investigating a fuel tank problem that could effect more than 2.7 million Ford F-150 Pickup Trucks. The NHTSA says the steels traps holding up the gas tank can rust and break , possibly causing a fuel spill and fire. The agency is looking into trucks from the 1997 through 2001 model years. The F-150 is the top selling vehicle in America.

The Dallas Mavericks have advanced to the Western Conference Finals of the NBA Playoffs by sweeping the two-time defending champion LA Lakers iin 4 games winning yesterday in Dallas 122-86. Lakers coach Phil Jackson made it official after the game that he is retiring from the game.
