Its the first day on the job for the new President of Texarkana College.  James Henry Russell began his new job today after being named the lone finalist several weeks ago.

Meanwhile longtime Texas High Principal Paul Norton has been named the lone finalist to take over for Russell as Superintendent at T.I.S.D

Arkansans who suffered damage in recent storms and flooding will be able to talk face to face with Federal Emergency Management Agency official at seven disaster assistance centers to open across the state.

The centers are streamlined, short term versionsof the disaster recovery centers already open elsewhere across the state.

In sports:

Pleasant Grove set to travel to Austin for the State Class 3A  Baseball tournament. The Hawks take on Robinson in the state semi-final Wednesday afternoon with the winner advancing to the championship game on Thursday evening.

Game# 4 of the NBA Finals tonight in Dallas. The Heat lead the Mavericks 2-1 in the best of seven series heading into action tonight.
