Severe Storms have now cleared the Four States Region has windy, cooler, drier air moves into the area.

Unfortunately a probably tornado struck Van Zandt County in East Texas yesterday evening, devestating the small community of Edom which is located about 75 miles east of Dallas. The local emergency management official described it as " major destruction" with easily 100-plus homes damaged or destroyed. One woman was injured when the twister destroyed her mobile home.

Texarkana Arkansas Police have made an arrest in connection with a reported armed robbery. Authorities were called to the 3800 block of State Line Avenue in the lunch hour yesterday. The victim said that a male suspect entered the back seat of her vehicle, produced a gun and demanded money, then fled in a green SUV.

About 1 1/2 hours later the suspect was arrested on East Street. Police have charged 26 year old Terry D. Martin of Texarkana, Arkansas with Aggravated Robbery and the investigation is continuing.

A domestic disturbance has left an Arkansas side man behind bars. Texarkana Arkansas Police say they responded yesterday to a possible disturbance in the 900 Block of County Avenue. The female victim says she was threatened with a shotgun by the suspect who then barricaded himself in the residence by pushing furniture against the door.

After a short standoff officers made contact with the suspect by phone and he exited the residence and was arrested without incident. Authorities have charged 20 year old Jacob Darrell Lynn with Aggravated Assault on a family or household member as well as Terroristic Threatening 1st degree, both felonies in the state of Arkansas.

The Texarkana Area Razorback Club is holding its annual meeting tonight at the Four States Fair Entertainment Center starting at 6:30 pm. The event had been planned for last night but was postponed by 1 day due to the Heightened Severe Weather Threat yesterday evening.

New University of Arkansas Basketball Coach Mike Anderson is the featured speaker at the meeting which includes the Radio Play-By-Play Voice of the Razorbacks Chuck Barrett and former Arkansas High and University of Arkansas Softball star Dayna Huckabee. There will also be an auction of Razorback memorabilia and other items including a 14x20 framed portrait of Football coach Bobby Petrino and former Razorback QB Ryan Mallett on the sidelines. The portrait signed by both coach and player.

There will also be a barbecue supper. Tickets are available in advance until 5pm today at Mil-Way Federal Credit Union locations on Arkansas Boulevard, West 7th Street and in Ashdown. Tickets will also be available this evening at the door.
