An official announcement hasn't been made yet, but it's believed by multiple sources, including TXK Today, that Jaggers, a fast-casual burger and chicken restaurant owned by the Texas Roadhouse and Bubba's 33 brands, is coming to Texarkana.

Jaggers was founded by Kent Taylor, who died in March 2021. The first Jaggers location opened in Noblesville, Indiana, in 2014.

According to Forbes, a company spokesman, the restaurant Jaggers prides itself on three main categories: burgers, chicken, and salads, all at an affordable price, making it a popular destination for lunch. Jaggers is also known for their hand-crafted milkshakes. If you could merge Chick-fil-a with Five Guys, this is the concept model for Jaggers.

With locations in Indiana, Kentucky, and North Carolina, the company continues to grow its franchise throughout Oklahoma and Texas. The Texarkana location is expected to be right next door to its parent company, the Texas Roadhouse, on Mall Drive. It will be constructed on the former Bryce's Cafeteria lot, which is being torn down and cleared. No word has been given on when the building construction will begin, and no official opening date has been set. But I would probably guess it will be sometime in 2026. The closest Jaggers to Texarkana is located in Longview, Texas, at 2541 Judson Road, if you'd like to try one out.

What Does The Name Jagger Mean?

First off, the name does not have anything to do with Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones, even though the name is of British origin, meaning carter or peddler.
