The James Black School of Bladesmithing and Historic Trades in Washington State Park, Arkansas will be offering a knifemaking class, instructed by Jerry Fisk.

The course is intended to teach knifemaking skills using the stock removal method. Students will be instructed to use high carbon steel to create their knives. Students will be taught how to design, profile, and grind a single knife from stock.

There will be several courses available at a cost of $350. The James Black School Knifemaking Class is scheduled for Sept. 25, from 4PM-8PM, and Sept. 26-27, from 8AM-5PM. Classes to be held at 601 Lawrence Street in Washington, Arkansas.
