
Arkansas State Police Arrest Jonesboro Homicide Suspect in Crittenden County
The Arkansas State Police (ASP) have arrested a man accused in connection with a Jonesboro homicide after a Trooper identified his vehicle along Interstate 55 in Crittenden County.
Suspect Vehicle Spotted at Gas Station Along I-55 After Statewide Alert Issued
According to ASP, the arrest happened Monday afternoon, April 6, 2026, around 3 p.m., when a State Trooper located a vehicle tied to the case at a gas station near the 48-mile marker. Investigators say the Trooper recognized the silver Ram 1500 and its license plate from a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) alert issued April 3 following the reported homicide in Jonesboro.
Troopers Conduct Felony Stop, Take Suspect Into Custody
Officials say the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Demetrie Jevon Allen of Blytheville, Arkansas, was seen leaving the gas station and traveling southbound on Interstate 55. Additional Troopers from Troop D assisted in conducting a felony stop near the 21-mile marker. Allen was taken into custody without incident.
Suspect Booked Into Craighead County Detention Center on First-Degree Murder Charge

Allen was transported to the Craighead County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond on a first-degree murder charge tied to the Jonesboro case. Authorities emphasize that the charge is an allegation, and Allen is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
