It's about that time for the 14th Annual Songwriters on the Edge of Texas Concert & Golf Tournament at the Northridge Country Club on Sunday, April. 14-15, 2019 beginning at 5:30PM.

This benefit fundraiser for CASA is proud to present Junior Brown with local favs, Trey Johnson and Jed Harrelson. Junior Brown a native from Cottonwood, Arizona has been writing and singing songs for years. With his rich baritone voice and master of his signature trademark double neck guit-steel guitar he brings his own unique style of sound to audiences nationwide. Brown's success started to take off once he moved to Austin, Texas years ago and played in a house band in the Continental Club.

Junior Brown was featured in the George Jones music video for "Honky Tonk Song," in 1996 and won a CMA Country Music Video of Year award for the song "My Wife Thinks You're Dead."

Brown has also had his music featured in various TV shows and movie soundtracks throughout the years. His most recognizable song is "Highway Patrol" released in 1993. I have always like his old school traditional, western swing, honky-tonk country, Americana sound. He's a lot of fun to watch.

His current album, Deep In The Heart of Me was released in 2018.

Tickets are $75 and can be purchased at the CASA website.

Money raised from Songwriters on the Edge of Texas Concert & Golf Tournament go to CASA for Children which strives to provide Hope, Healing, and Justice by Advocating for abused and neglected children through comprehensive services at the Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center, Family Matters and Court Appointed Special Advocates.
