Yeah, Kickball... how cool is that! It's time to get your team together for a fun day of kickball and raise funds for a great cause here in Texarkana.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 6, 2025, and get ready to swing into action at the Kick’n It For Cancer Kickball Tournament at Grady T. Wallace Park. This exciting event honors the legacy of Texarkana Arkansas Police Detective Holly Smith, who lost her battle with cancer 5 years ago. All proceeds will be going toward local scholarships created in her name.

Whether you’re a seasoned kickball pro, beginner, or just in it for the laughs, teams of 10 can sign up for $300 per team, but don’t wait, pre-registration ends August 23rd!

It’s more than just a game. It’s a chance to support cancer awareness, celebrate a local hero, and bring the community together for a day of fun and fundraising. Whether you’re playing, cheering from the sidelines, or making a donation, every bit of support helps make a difference.

To register or learn how to get involved, contact:

  • Sgt. Phillips – 903-809-1980, or
  • Sgt. Warner – 903-824-3069

Let’s come together, have a blast, and kick cancer to the curb, all while celebrating the life and service of someone who gave so much to our community.
