
‘Life’s a Beach’ At UofA Hope-Texarkana’s 19th Annual Kid’s College Fundraiser
Get ready for a Beachin' Good Time this Thursday evening as the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana Foundation hosts the 19th Annual Beads, Bags, and Bangles Kids’ College fundraiser.
The 19th Annual Beads, Bags, and Bangles Kids’ College Fundraiser will be from 6 PM to 9 PM at Hempstead Hall. Farmers Bank & Trust and Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Homes present this event.
“Beachin’ Good Time” Theme Promises Fun Night at UofA Hope - Texarkana Fundraiser
This year’s theme, “Beachin’ Good Time,” offers guests a tropical escape while raising funds for local Kids’ College programs serving students across the Hope and Texarkana communities.

Be sure to wear your coolest beach attire and prepare for an evening full of entertainment. The event will feature luau-inspired snacks, a silent auction, a gun raffle, and dancing with music by DJ Stanley. There will also be a photo booth, beachy signature drinks like The Sunburn and Bay Breeze, plus beach-themed games including the SPF 50 Spud Showdown.

The evening will also include special performances by Arkansas Circus Arts, featuring aerialists, mermaids, and even a jellyfish on a sway pole.

Enjoy interactive experiences throughout the night, including the BBB Committee Tiki Hut, permanent jewelry by Casey’s Permanent Jewelry, hat and purse burning with Hammer and Stain of Hot Springs, hair wrapping and braiding by Jennifer Tyree, and professional photography by Heather Clements.
Diamond Bracelet Raffle Supports Student Programs at UofA Hope - Texarkana
As part of the fundraiser, the BBB Committee is selling raffle tickets for a VAHAN 14K gold and sterling silver diamond stackable bracelet valued at $1,825, donated by Alexander’s Jewelers.
Tickets are $5 each or five for $20, and winners do not need to be present to claim the prize. Every ticket purchased supports Kids’ College programs.

Proceeds from the event will fund Kids’ College programs, classroom supplies, and instructors who inspire young learners. According to a press release, the funds also support special opportunities for middle school students in grades 6 through 8, including Camp Save-A-Life and the Engineering and Manufacturing Camp of Creativity, where students gain hands-on experience in skills like CPR and robotics.
