Little Rock VA to Host Virtual Claims Clinic for Arkansas Veterans on July 25
Attention Arkansas Veterans, your monthly virtual VA claims clinic is coming up on Thursday, if you need claim information or need to schedule an appointment, we have the links and numbers you need below.
Date and Time: Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 4 - 6 PM.
Event Details: Arkansas Veterans are invited to participate in the Little Rock VA's Virtual Claims Clinic. During this event, Veterans will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with staff from the Little Rock VA Regional Office, who will be ready to assist with specific questions regarding claims for VA benefits.
How to Participate: Veterans interested in reserving a time slot should call 501-370-3829 by the close of business on Wednesday, July 24.
Background Information: Jay Mergenschroer, Public Affairs Officer, emphasized the office's commitment to reaching Veterans throughout Arkansas, including those in rural areas.
"In addition to Little Rock and the surrounding areas, it is our pledge to serve the diverse population in the rural areas of Arkansas. We are working to connect with these Veterans along with those unable to reach us by other means," he said.
The Little Rock VA Regional Office, located at 2200 Fort Roots Drive in North Little Rock, operates Monday through Friday, from 8 AM - 4 PM. The Veteran Assist Phone Line is 501-370-3829, this line is staffed Monday through Friday, from 7 AM - 5PM.
The Little Rock VA Regional Office also has two satellite offices:
- John L. McClellan VA Medical Center, Room 1C-151B, 4300 West Seventh St., Little Rock. Open Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8 AM - 4 PM.
- Eugene J. Towbin VA Healthcare Center, Room 1C-149, Bldg. 170, 2200 Fort Roots Dr., North Little Rock. Open Wednesdays, from 8 AM - noon.
VA Regional Offices provide financial and other forms of assistance to Veterans and their dependents, including disability compensation, survivor’s benefits, pension and fiduciary service, education and training, vocational rehabilitation and employment assistance, life insurance coverage, and home loan guarantees. VA disability compensation offers a monthly tax-free payment to Veterans who got sick or injured while serving in the military or whose service aggravated an existing condition.
During the upcoming Virtual Claims Clinic, staff members will answer questions about PACT Act benefits, and existing VA benefits claims, and assist with filing new claims.
