I always hate to hear when a local business shuts its doors for good, many of you may already know about this but a favorite Texarkana restaurant is now closed.

The restaurant, "The Dugout" on East 9th Street formerly Tamolly's served its last meal last Saturday before closing its doors after 8 years in business. The sports-themed restaurant served a variety of food including burgers and fish for which they were best known for.

The announcement was posted by TXK Today on their Facebook page.

The Dugout was locally owned by David and Nikki Oliver. We wish them the best going forward and I'm sure they would like to thank all their customers who have supported their business through the years.
