Get ready for the 2017 Murphy USA Summer Concert Series June 24, July 22, and August 26 in historic downtown El Dorado presented by Main Street El Dorado Festivals and Events.

Award winning performers, singers and songwriters from Nashville and Memphis will be performing the free summer concert series outdoors.  Opening acts begin at 7PM with the main headliner taking the stage at 8PM., according to recent press release.

Jason D. Williams (June 24)

The summer concert series kicks off with native Arkansan Jason D. Williams on June 24, "Memphis Music Night."  Williams who tours around 160 shows a year will be bringing his rock-a-billy, raucous, Jerry Lee Lewis piano style performance to El Dorado with plenty of personality and attitude to go along with it. The Side Street Steppers and The Burners will perform as opening acts, and Main Street will also host a barbecue food truck, as well as the Budweiser beer tent.

Lee Roy Parnell (July 22)

Grammy-nominated country singer Lee Roy Parnell who had a string of hits in the 1990s including his number-one single "A Little Bit of You" will be performing on July 22.  Parnell who is known for his unique electric slide guitar signature sound, distinctive soulful singing.

David Lee Murphy (August 26)

Grammy-nominated country artist David Lee Murphy performs August 26, and will be performing a ton of hits such as his number-one single, "Dust on the Bottle," and "Party Crowd,"  the most played song in 1995. Murphy is also a very gifted songwriter who has written songs for Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Thompson Square and was nominated for two Grammy Awards and six American Country Music Awards.

The Murphy USA Summer Concert Series will follow El Dorado’s legendary Showdown at Sunset performances on the fourth Saturday of June, July and August. This reenactment of the Tucker-Parnell feud will be performed on the steps of the Union County Courthouse beginning at 6PM, for the Summer Concert Series. The Showtime Stage will have a new location at the intersection of Cedar and Jefferson Streets, with the soon to be unveiled Murphy Arts District serving as a backdrop.

Concertgoers are encouraged to spend the weekend in downtown El Dorado, exploring all that’s available within walking distance of the music venue. Restaurants and boutiques line Union Square, many offering specials for Showdown weekend, and there will be plenty of additional festivities during each event.  For more information, visit their website.
