🚨Several Major Drug Busts in November

🚔Over 680 lbs. of drugs and 13 illegal firearms seized

Arkansas State Police continue to take on their battle against drug traffickers throughout the state of Arkansas. State Troopers seized more than 680 pounds of illegal drugs and 13 illegal firearms during traffic stops on Arkansas interstates in the first three weeks of November.

Major Drug Busts Across Arkansas in November

According to a press release from the ASP, the largest drug bust was on Wednesday, November 20, in Crittenden County. Troopers pulled over a Dodge Ram on I-40 eastbound around 11:30 AM. When they searched the vehicle they found 211 pounds of marijuana bundled in the backseat and truck bed, along with two handguns. The driver, Michael Penilton, 30, of Lamar, Mississippi, was arrested on felony charges, including Possession with Intent to Deliver and Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms.

Two days earlier, on Monday, November 18, Troopers stopped a Ford Fusion near London on I-40. This search uncovered 93 pounds of marijuana, 10 pounds of THC wax, 1,000 vape cartridges, over $21,000 in cash, and a Glock pistol. The driver, Graham Toth, 24, of Los Angeles, was arrested and charged with multiple felonies. Toth told investigators he was driving to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, but he did not make it to his destination thanks to ASP.

On Tuesday, November 12, Troopers found 130 pounds of marijuana in trash bags in the bed of a Ford F-150 stopped on I-40 in North Little Rock. The driver, Srdjan Novakovic, 65, of La Mesa, California, was charged with felony drug possession.

On Monday, November 4, a Toyota Camry was stopped near Morrilton and state police found 124 pounds of marijuana in vacuum-sealed bundles hidden in trash bags in the trunk. The driver, Shouwei Jiang, 42, from New York, was arrested and said he was traveling from Oklahoma to New York. Again thanks to Arkansas State Police he didn't make his destination either.

Other Big Drug Busts This Month in Arkansas

On Monday, November 18, Troopers stopped a Toyota 4Runner in Lonoke County and found 73 pounds of marijuana. Cameron Martin, 25, of Memphis, Tennessee, was arrested.

also on that day November 18, they stopped a Chevrolet Equinox in Pope County where 21 pounds of marijuana in individually wrapped packages was found. Richard Juritsch, 34, of Charlotte, North Carolina, was charged with felony drug possession.
Tuesday, November 12  ASP stopped a Hyundai Elantra in Pulaski County containing a stolen gun, 9mm bullets, 39 Oxycodone pills, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia. The driver, Arron Robinson, 33, of Maumelle, was charged with multiple felonies.
Monday, November 11 a Nissan Sentra in Pope County was pulled over and had 24 pounds of marijuana in a duffel bag. Emon Washington, 23, of Marietta, Georgia, was arrested.

Sunday, November 10, state troopers pulled over a Chrysler Pacifica in Lonoke County. They found 49 pounds of marijuana in three cardboard boxes. The driver, a 51-year-old New Jersey man, was arrested.

Monday, November 4 troopers stopped a Chevrolet Malibu in Morrilton. They found 51 pounds of marijuana in individual packages. Wendy Hernandez, 30, of Dickinson, Texas, said she was traveling to Knoxville, Tennessee.

Do you see a pattern? The Arkansas State Police are not messing around. Drug traffickers are not welcome in the state of Arkansas and they will find you.
