Man Killed After Truck Plunges Over Arkansas Dam Overlook

An investigation continues in Cleburne County of a truck that plummeted over the JFK Park Overlook at Greers Ferry Dam on Sunday morning.

According to an updated report from THV11, the vehicle crashed through a fence at the JFK Dam Overlook near Highway 25 and plunged 243 feet to the bottom of the dam feet on the riverside of Greers Ferry Lake.

The truck landed upside down and the driver was killed after being ejected from the vehicle the deceased victim has been identified as Ismael Ponce a 30-year-old from Clarksville, Arkansas. Another passenger was airlifted to a Little Rock hospital where they are recovering from the incident.

Meanwhile, the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office has not revealed what caused the accident, and an investigation continues and no further details are available at this time.
