Man Wins $500,000 With Scratch Off in Arkansas Scholarship Lottery
Oh, how I wish this would happen to me. But a dream came true for a lucky man playing the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery when he hit the jackpot with a scratch-off ticket he bought on his way to work.
Michael R., from Dumas, won $500,000 by playing the $20 "200X the Win" instant game. He wasted no time and claimed his prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center last Friday, July 19.
The winning ticket was purchased at Dumas Mart on 225 Highway 65 S.
Michael is a regular lottery player and bought the ticket on his daily drive to work. Although he occasionally plays Fast Play games, he prefers $20 instant tickets. This time, he chose the "200X the Win" scratch-off game.
When he scratched the ticket, he quickly saw he had won the $500,000 top prize.
Michael told the ASL in a press release that his first thought after winning was he'd pay his house off.
He shared the news with his girlfriend and wasted no time heading to the ASL Claim Center in Little Rock to collect his prize. Michael said he also called his mother, who didn't believe him when he told her.
She said,
Say what now? Are you lying?
Michael has won money before in the ASL but the biggest win before this was $1,000. No doubt the $500,000 prize was a really big surprise.
Did you know there are still two $500,000 top prizes left in the "200X the Win" instant game?
