The holiday season is almost here and what better way to get you into the holiday spirit than with the new movie "The Grinch." Not sure if The Grinch will steal your Christmas but he just may steal the box office this weekend.

This is an animated remake of the holiday TV classic as done from Illumination Entertainment the same film company that brought you "Minions" and "Despicable Me."  Unlike the original who had Boris Karloff as the narrator this newer version has pop star Pharrell telling the story along with some of his music included in the movie. Usually I'm not real big on re-doing a classic like "The Grinch" but this actually looks very entertaining and good. Benedict Cumberbatch plays The Grinch.

If you liked the "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" then you will probably like this sequel. Claire Foy takes over the role of Lisbeth Salander and uses her hacking skills to help former a NSA programmer gain access to the world's nuclear weapon codes. Unfortunately, her sister steals the program from her and plans to use it against her to frame her.

Now, this is definitely a different kind of war movie about World War II because it's a horror movie about a small group of American paratroopers who discover that the Nazis have been doing experiments on the town folks in order to create an army of the dead brought back to life as something terrifying.

My personal pick this weekend is "The Grinch." Grab the popcorn and I'll see you at the movies.
