Michigan Woman Gets Caught on Video Trying to Hire a Hit Man to Kill Her Husband [VIDEO]

You've heard the wedding vows "to death do us part."  Well, a Muskegon, Michigan woman Julia Charlene Merfeld has tried to speed up that process on getting rid of her husband but instead got caught trying to make a deal with a hit man to knock off her hubby.

The 21-year-old woman was caught on camera trying to hire an undercover officer she thought was a hit man to kill her husband.

If you watch the video, Merfeld is seen explaining what led her to make the decision:

When I first decided to do this … it’s not that we weren’t getting along. You know, I didn’t have to worry about the judgment of my family, I didn’t have to worry about breaking his heart, all that stuff like this. It’s, like, how I got a clean getaway.”

If Merfeld was successfull she would stand to inherit her husband's $400,000 life insurance policy.  She planned to pay the hit man $50,000 but not all at once, she was to pay him in weekly $9,000 installments. Seriously! So your telling me your going to have your husband knocked off and then pay the killer off on a weekly basis like a bill.

And if you're wondering Merfeld has since pleaded guilty to solicitation to murder. But the most surprising twist to this whole story is that her husband has asked she not be given any jail time. Authorities have said she’ll be sentenced at the end of the month.
