Earlier: The Miller County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating Chevelle, a missing 10-year-old who was last seen at her home on Dooley Ferry Road in Texarkana early Monday morning. The office has also stated that it will inform the public when additional help is needed. Any efforts by the public at this time could potentially disrupt tracks or scents.
Chevelle was reportedly seen around 1 AM on December 9, 2024. At the time, she was wearing a leopard-print dress paired with black shorts and silver, black, and white slip-on shoes. She was also wearing a rabbit-shaped hair clip.
Authorities say Chevelle left the residence with a red fox stuffed animal, a maroon journal featuring a pumpkin design, and an orange hairbrush. These personal belongings might help identify her if spotted.
Chevelle Cummings is 10 years old, she is a white female and stands 5' 2" and weighs 120 pounds. She has brown, shoulder length hair and has brown eyes.
The sheriff's office urges anyone with information about Chevelle’s whereabouts to come forward. “Even the smallest detail could make a significant difference in bringing her home safely,” officials said.
If you have seen Chevelle or have any information about her location, please contact the Miller County Sheriff’s Office immediately at (870) 774-3001.
Chevelle’s family and law enforcement remain hopeful for her safe return and appreciate the community’s support in the search efforts.
