56 Year-old Arrested By Deputies in Milller County Shooting

Miller County deputies responded to a call about a shooting yesterday afternoon Tuesday, May 10 at around 1:35 PM.

The deputies were dispatched to a house located in the 1100 block of Miller County Road 462 about shots fired. The suspect was identified as Randy Williams, 56 years of age. Reports show that there was a dispute was with Larry Willaims of Fouke Ar, who is Randy's nephew.

The victim told deputies that the dispute escalated and then Randy Williams was 'brandishing' a handgun and started firing several shots.

According to the press release;

The victim was struck once in the upper right hip and once in the upper left leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries and later released.

Miller County Sheriff’s Office

The Miller County Deputies along with the Criminal Investigation Division were able to apprehend Randy Williams without further incident.

The suspect was then brought to the Miller County Detention Center. He was booked and charged with Battery First Degree, which is a Class B felony.

He is in custody until his arraignment.
