(ORIGINAL STORY)

The I-30 westbound traffic at Exit 31 is flowing much better through Hope as of this writing, but it was a mess in the early hours of Monday due to three separate crashes that led to three fatalities.

Traffic was rerouted to Hwy 67 through and beyond Fulton, Arkansas, Monday morning when three separate wrecks occurred in that stretch of highway.

The First Wreck and Fatality:

The Arkansas State Police report states that at approximately 1 AM on July 21, 2025, a collision occurred on I-30 west near the 18-mile marker in Fulton. An Arkansas Department of Transportation contractor in a specialized trailer was applying reflectors along the center of the roadway when he was struck and killed by a 2004 Buick Century. The driver of the Buick fled the scene on foot, and was still at large at the time of this writing.

Wreck #2:

The report says that a second, two-vehicle collision occurred at about 2:15 AM near the 19-mile marker westbound, resulting in minor injuries.

Wreck #3 with 2 More Fatalities:

A third collision occurred near the 20-mile marker around 4 AM, also in the westbound lanes of I-30. This wreck involved three tractor trailers and a pickup truck. Unfortunately, two people were killed and two were seriously injured.

We have no word on the current condition of the injured, nor have names have been released of those who perished in these accidents as of yet.

These are ongoing investigations.
