National Cancer Survivors Day to be Celebrated in Texarkana June 2
The W. Temple Webber Cancer Center at CHRISTUS St. Michael is celebrating National Cancer Survivors Day Sunday, June 2, by recognizing and supporting cancer patients and those who care for them.
The Cancer Survivors Day Celebration takes place at 4PM on Sunday, June 2, 2019 in the CHRISTUS St. Michael Dining Atrium and Courtyard, at 2600 St. Michael Drive in Texarkana.
According to a press release, “This event is a wonderful way for a community that shares a special bond to join in celebration of everything they have accomplished together,” said Charlotte McKamie, Director, W. Temple Webber Cancer Center at CHRISTUS St. Michael. “Fighting cancer is truly a battle shared by everyone: the patients, their family, their community. Every person here is proud and honored to be a member of that fighting team, and we are blessed to be able to serve this community and these people by extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.”
The event will include light refreshments, inspirational testimonies from cancer survivors in the community and a balloon release to honor and acknowledge cancer survivors. Cancer survivors and their loved ones are encouraged to attend.
Seating is limited, and we kindly request people to make reservations for this special event. Call toll free: 1-855-614-MIKE (6453) for reservations or go online for reservations at christusstmichael.org/cancersurvivorday.
