A Texarkana national retail furniture store is closing its doors. Everything must go!

According to a press release, over 100 Conn's Home Plus including the Texarkana location in the Town West Shopping Center at 2315 Richmond Road. The Texas-based company recently opened in 2022 and offered electronics, appliances, furniture, mattresses, computers, and fitness products.

In addition to the Texarkana store closing its Shreveport location, other stores throughout Louisiana are also going out of business, according to the Shreveport Times. The furniture store company is considering filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the coming weeks. Due to consecutive fiscal losses over the past three years and the economic downturn of higher interest rates and home purchases on a decline the furniture business has struggled to survive as people reprioritize what to spend money on, especially on big ticketed purchases.

Bankruptcy proceedings depend on how liquidation goes over the next several weeks.

Conn's reportedly has more than 500 stores nationwide and 80 stores in Texas alone.
