New Ammunition Manufacturing Company Coming to Texarkana Area

A new ammunition manufacturing company, based out of Carrolton, Texas Expansion Industries is making plans to expand its business to the Texarkana area.

The plan is to open a manufacturing site inside TexAmericas Center located in Hooks, Texas. The main G line of the former Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant will be used for its operations. The new facility will focus on producing primers, an integral part used in manufacturing ammunition for the small arms industry. The supply and demand are falling short in the industry right now and Expansion Industries is working hard to alleviate that problem with its new facility.

This is great news for the Texarkana area because that means new jobs, a recruiting drive is now underway and an on-site job fair is set for January 29, at 523 Titus Road in Hooks, Texas.
