New Cartridge Options Approved for Hunting in Arkansas
If you are a hunter in Arkansas you'll be happy to know that the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission on Thursday, May 16, unanimously approved something hunters have been asking for.
Voter-Approved
The AGFC-approved firearms that are not semi-automatic will be allowed to use straight-walled centerfire cartridges during deer and bear muzzleloader season according to a report from KATV. These new regulations should impact the hunting season in the state.
2024 Squirrel Season
By the way, the 2024 Shotgun Squirrel season is underway for Arkansas hunters until the middle of June. This is one of the state's longest hunting seasons and hunters are allowed to bag up to 12 squirrels per day. Hunters should be aware this is the time of the year for gnats, mosquitos, and ticks. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission advises hunters to take the necessary precautions to protect themselves.
