Time is Running Out to Nominate For Arkansas Food Hall Of Fame

Have you made your nomination yet for your favorite restaurant to be inducted into the Arkansas Food Hall of Fame?

This is your chance to make your voice heard on your favorite restaurant, proprietor and food event in Arkansas. The Division of Arkansas Heritage is celebrating for the 8th year the state's unique culinary heritage by celebrating Arkansas's best restaurants, restaurateurs and chefs.

Nominations will only be open for a little while longer and will close on Thursday, February 29. You can submit your nominations online at ArkFoodHOF.com. will close on Feb. 29, 2024.

Marty Ryall, director of the Division of Arkansas Heritage said in a press release,

We invite the public to share their opinions with us by nominating their favorites for the Arkansas Food Hall of Fame program by the end of this month. Arkansas is full of flavor and we want to recognize those individuals, restaurants and events at the heart of that. Nominate today and let your voice be heard.

Nominations are accepted in categories that recognize culturally significant restaurants, proprietors and food-themed events celebrating our food heritage in Arkansas.

There are 5 Categories you can nominate in,

1. Arkansas Food Hall of Fame – This is for a loved and long-standing restaurant.

2. Proprietor of the Year – This is honoring a chef, cook and/or restaurant owner who has shown a significant impact on our local food tastes and preferences.

3. Food-Themed Event – a community food-themed event or festival that showcases the community’s unique food history.

4. Gone But Not Forgotten – We all have at least one of these in our hearts, the restaurant that is no longer with us but everyone misses and thinks about the good old days.

5. People’s Choice – This is for restaurants and food trucks, new or old, that we just can't get enough of.
