Pancake Breakfast to Benefit Former Local Police Officer

The surviving wife of Texarkana, Texas Police Officer William Jason Sprague is putting together a non-profit organization  called the "The Pink Behind the Thin Blue Line". The organization will team up with other police wives to form the new group, whereas their mission is to perform community service in hopes of giving back to the community that our officers serve and protect on a daily basis. The new group will also act as a support system for officers and their families who may have lost a loved one in the line of duty.

One of the first benefits they are doing is a Pancake breakfast this Saturday, March 22, at Applebee's on Summerhill Road from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The proceeds from this benefit will go toward the William Jason Sprague Memorial Scholarship fund. Officer Sprague lost his life in the line of duty at Grady T. Wallace Park on June 15, 2013.
