End of an Era: Popular Downtown Texarkana Restaurant to Close
Pecan Point Gastropub and Brewing Company, a popular downtown Tearkana restaurant for just over 10 years, is closing its doors for good on October 31, 2025.

According to TXKToday, the restaurant has become one of the main gathering spots in the downtown area, as it sits adjacent to the historic Perot Theatre. It was a place that friends and family gathered for special occasions and events at the Perot Theatre for years. Dining at Pecan Point was stellar, not only for the food they served but for the craft beer. The Duck Fries were probably one of my personal favorites, and the burgers were good, too.
In a statement released this week, Closing Pecan Point was a difficult decision, but after the founder, Bill Scurlock, passed away last year, it was inevitable; it was time.
“It has been our privilege to serve our community since 2014. However a year ago, we lost our partner and founder, Bill Scurlock, and now Linda has decided the time has come to close Pecan Point.
Customers are encouraged to stop by Pecan Point within the next week to enjoy their favorite dishes and to make some lasting memories before it closes.
