Injury Bug Continues to Plague Razorback Defense
The Razorback defense finally had a good showing on Saturday, but the jubilation was short lived as they found out on Monday that another starter was out for the season.
Alonzo Highsmith's career with the Razorbacks is over as Arkansas announced he would not be able to play again this year due to a foot injury suffered in the Hogs win over Auburn. The senior linebacker has been Arkansas' leading tackler in 2012 and a vocal leader on the defensive side of the ball.
The depth at linebacker was shallow even before Highsmith went down. Coaches on Monday discussed bringing in reserve linebackers Jarett Lake and Matt Marshall from the scout team.
