Did you hear the great news? There is a recycling corporation coming to Texarkana that will bring its new state-of-the-art facility to TexAmericas. It's a big investment too. It's projected to bring $145 million in capital investment.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced late last week that Braven Environmental will open a new facility in Texarkana. They handle the recycling of plastics and they are ready to make the Texarkana area their new home.

The CEO of Braven Environmental Jim Simon said in the Governor's press release, that when they were looking for an area for a new facility they not only looked at the state-level of benefits but the local benefits too. He named not only the state of Texas but also Hooks ISD, Texarkana College and the TexAmercas Center for their support as they bring their new facility to Texarkana.

This means more jobs and a nice big boost to our economy and the economy of surrounding areas. No word just yet on how many jobs this will bring to the area

The TexAmericas Center located in Hooks is one of the largest industrial centers in the country with almost 12,000 acres and 3 million square feet of space for offices, manufacturing plus warehouse space and storage.
