School Closings & Delays In Texarkana Area Wednesday Jan 17

With another hard freeze tonight in the Texarkana area that will mean that some roads will not be ready for safe travel. Some of the area schools will be closed again for Wednesday others will have a delayed start. 

Closings and delays for Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

Atlanta ISD Closed

Ashdown Public Schools Closed

Bloomberg ISD Closed

Dekalb ISD delayed start at 10 AM  Staff to report at 9:30 AM. Breakfast will not be served. Students can be dropped off starting at 9:40 AM.

Fouke School District Closed

Genoa Central Schools Closed

Hooks ISD Closed

Hope Public Schools Closed

Liberty Eylau ISD Closed

Leary ISD Closed

Maud ISD Closed

Malta ISD 10 AM delayed start. Buses run at 9:30 AM and school door open at 9:30 Am for student drop-off.

New Boston ISD 10 AM start. Buses will run 2 hours later than usual. Campuses will open at 9:30 AM for student drop-off. Staff report at 9:30 AM

Pleasant Grove ISD Closed

Redwater ISD Schools Closed

Simms ISD Delayed Start 10 AM start. Buses will run 2 hours late. Teachers report at 9:30 AM
Texarkana Arkansas School District Schools Closed. Board meeting scheduled for tonight will be rescheduled.

Texarkana Independent School District Closed

Trinity Christian School - virtual day on kindergarten -12th grade

Queen City ISD Closed

Texarkana College all classes Virtual

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana campuses closed and classes all canceled

Texas A&M University-Texarkana will again be open with limited operations. Individual faculty members will determine course instructional modality (face-to-face or online) for students, and staff who need to do so may work remotely.
