State Fair of Texas Opens 2025 Creative Arts Contests

Texans, this is for you, it's time to enter the 2025 State Fair of Texas Creative Arts contests and show off you talents in arts, crafts, and cooking. This is open to amateurs and pros of all ages with over 1100 categories to compete in. Contest guides are available for download now. (see link below)

Arts & Crafts Contests

• Fine Art, Photography, Ceramics, Quilting, Scale Models, Needlework, and more.

Participants can enter individually or as a group. Online registration opens May 7, the submission deadline is July 28. Entries can be mailed or hand-delivered but all must be in by July 28. Ribbons will be awarded and entries will be displayed at the 2025 State Fair of Texas.

Cooking Contests

• 26 competitions including Bread, Chocolate, Tex-Mex, Ice Cream, Charcuterie Boards, and, more.

Open to youth and adults, there are some invitation-only competitions. Registration also runs from May 7 to July 28. These competitions run during the State Fair and include live judging and ribbon awards.

Battle for the Blue Ribbons

• A special Spring competition featuring Cookies, Cakes, and Pies.

This competition runs from May 16 - 18 with winners earning a spot in the Best of Show-Down on October 5.

Registration and More Information

If you think you have what it takes and you're ready to show off your talents, get online and get registered as soon as possible. The online registration allows families to manage multiple entries under in one account. Youth competitors have designated categories and all communications are sent to the primary adult on the account. While paper entries are accepted, online registration is encouraged and ensures timely updates and judging results.
